It was 2019. I was a new mom, deep in the postpartum fog, and feeling completely disconnected from my own body. My periods had come back heavier than they had ever been. I was uncomfortable, self-conscious, and relying on bulky pads and tampons that just were not cutting it anymore. Nothing fit right. Nothing felt right. I felt like I was drowning in products that were not designed for the body I was living in.
And then I saw an ad on Instagram. Sarah Landry, thebirdspapaya, talking about Knix leakproof underwear. She was honest, she was real, and she was talking about the exact things I was feeling but hadn’t found it in me to say out loud to anyone.
I remember thinking: what if this actually works? what if these products help me feel like…more of myself again?
I took the plunge. I ordered my first pair of Knix leakproof underwear. And I am not exaggerating when I say it felt like taking a step out of the postpartum slump I had been stuck in for months.
Why I’ve Been Wearing Knix for 6 Years: An Honest Knix Review
As a postpartum mom, I desperately needed to feel a sense of normalcy again. I also needed to find support for my menstrual cycle which came back with a vengeance 3 months postpartum.
At the time, I didn’t really know what I was looking for, but it turns out it was:
- Leakproof protection I could actually trust during my heavy, painful periods and postpartum bleeding
- Comfortable, supportive undergarments that did not make me feel like I was wearing something medicinal or bulky
- Products that felt normal. Not like ‘postpartum products’ but like real underwear and bras that just happened to work for my current body
- Something that helped me feel a little more like myself again
Knix gave me all of that. Their leakproof underwear was seamless, smooth, and did not feel like a diaper. The bras were supportive while feeling incredibly light weight.
And honestly? They made me feel just a little bit more put together during a time when I felt like I was barely holding it all together.
My Favorite Knix Products (The Ones I Actually Wear All of The Time)
Super Leakproof DreamShorts

These are my nighttime go-to when I am on my period. They are specifically designed for overnight protection and they deliver. I stay dry, there is zero leakage, and they are so comfortable I forget I am wearing them. If you have heavy periods and nighttime anxiety about leaking through, these are worth every penny.
They’d also be perfect for postpartum moms when the depends are a little too absorbent, but you’re still bleeding enough to need some protection.
What I love most: I have tried other brands and nothing compares to the coverage and comfort of these. They are pricier but they do the job better than any other product I’ve tried, so it’s worth it to me.
High Waist High Rise Leakproof Underwear
This is my everyday, go-to leakproof underwear of choice. High waisted, full coverage, seamless under clothes, and leakproof when I need it.
I wear these on my medium to heavy flow days, light days, and honestly even on days when I am not on my period just because they are that comfortable.
Worried about sneeze leaks? Running around with the kids leaks? This pair will keep you dry and confident.
What I love most: The high rise fit sits high enough to smooth any loose skin and it does not roll down. An absolute game changer for style and protection.
Revolution V-Neck Bra & Revolution Scoop Neck Bra
I live in these bras. They’re completely wire-free, yet so supportive and comfortable enough to wear all day. This bra is unique because it features Knix’s built-in 3-D stabilizers for maximum support, no wire needed.

They lift and make your girls look so good under everything you wear. Honestly, it’s such a comfortable bra that I genuinely forget I am wearing it most of the time.
What I love most: The Revolution line is their most popular and for good reason. The seamless, wire-free support is my favorite. For larger chested girls like me, normally a wire-bra is needed to feel any sense of support, but not with Knix.
Leakproof Boy Shorts
Next in line after the high waist, is the leakproof boy shorts. They offer a little more coverage in the back, still completely seamless, and just as leakproof. Great for days when you want a different fit but the same protection.

I’ve actually found myself reaching for these more often lately now that I’ve lost close to 50lbs. I think they just hug my hips a little more comfortably and I don’t always feel like wearing ultra-high rise undies.
What I love most: I really love that I get the same support and leakproof protection in a different style.
LuxeLift Tank
This is technically a tank with a built-in bra but I wear it as a layering piece constantly. It’s supportive, flattering, and works under just about anything.

I have multiple colors of these in my closet and would add more if they happen to launch any new colors soon!
What I love most: This tank top gives you the best of both worlds, a supportive top with a built-in bra. Everything Knix designs always feels like it was meant to become part of your body. Meaning, it’s easy to move around in which is something I’ll always appreciate as a busy mom.
WingWoman Contour Bra
This was the very first Knix bra I ever tried. It’s got the same seamless feel and design, but this bra is more unique than the rest. That’s because it has extra side coverage to prevent spillage, something I experienced a lot of as a breastfeeding postpartum mom.
So to finally find a bra that could support all of me and make me feel lifted and sexy was a huge confidence booster.
What I love most: Obviously the extended side “wings” to keep any side spillage contained is the best part about this bra, hands down.
Let’s Talk About Sizing (Because It Matters)
Knix sizing can feel tricky if you are used to traditional underwear sizing. Here is what I have learned after six years of wearing their products:
- Knix leakproof underwear runs true to size for most people, but if you are between sizes, size up. The fabric stretches and molds to your body over time.
- For bras, I recommend using their online size generator or booking a virtual fitting. Knix offers free virtual fittings where a fit expert helps you find your exact size based on measurements and what you are looking for in a bra. I cannot recommend this enough.
- If you are postpartum or your body is fluctuating, give yourself grace. Your size might change and that is completely normal. I have gone up and down in Knix sizes over the years and their customer service has always been helpful.
| PRO TIP: If you are unsure about sizing, book a free virtual fitting with Knix. Their fit experts will walk you through measurements and recommend the best size and style for your body. It is genuinely one of the most helpful things they offer and it is completely free. |
Are Knix Products Worth the Price?
Let’s address the elephant in the room: Knix is not cheap. A single pair of leakproof underwear can run you $30-$40 depending on the style. and if you know me, you know I DO NOT spend that kind of money on underwear just because.
Their bras are in the $30-$65 range. That is an investment, but if you’re ready to wear a bra that is supportive, wire-free, and made with materials that feel like a second skin.
Here is my honest take after six years: yes, they are worth it.
If you have heavy periods and you are tired of leaking through regular underwear and pads, Knix leakproof underwear will save you money in the long run because you are not constantly replacing ruined underwear, bedding or wasteful pads.
If you are postpartum and need something that works during recovery, they’ll bring an extra level of comfort along on the journey.
If you are looking for comfortable, supportive bras that actually last, their Revolution line is one you’ll absolutely love.
If you’re looking for an alternative way to stay dry and confident during your periods because traditional menstrual products don’t work for you, you should give Knix a shot.
HOWEVER…if you are just looking for cute underwear and you do not need the leakproof technology or seamless materials, there are cheaper options out there. Knix is not for everyone and that is totally okay. At the end of the day, you should buy what works for your body and your budget.
Important Things to Know About Your Knix Clothing
If you’re planning to try out some Knix products, I want to share some tips to help you out. These would be things to do to help maintain your products and get the most bang for your buck.
- if you can, wash them in cold water and hang dry. Your Knix products will last so much longer if you do not put them in the dryer. If that’s not an option for you, dry them on low heat.
- Start with one or two pairs to test them out before committing to a full drawer. It’s a safe way to try the product, get a feel for if it works for you, and if you’d want to buy more.
- The leakproof technology works well, but you need to make sure you wear the correct absorbency otherwise you could experience some leaks. You can take a look at the different absorbency levels to check to see which might work best.
- Their sales are worth waiting for. Black Friday and their Annual Warehouse Sale is when I stock up.
The Reason I Became a Knix Ambassador
In 2022, I joined the Knix Ambassador Team, three years after I had became a customer. With any ambassador program, I think it’s crucial to be a customer first. Because how can I truly speak on and recommend a product when I haven’t put in the time to use and really try it out?
So, I became an ambassador because I was already telling everyone I knew about these products. I knew how they impacted my life in a positive way and thought it would be a good idea to help them reach other moms too.
I share Knix on my Instagram, I recommend them to friends, and I write posts like this one because these products genuinely changed how I felt in my postpartum body. They gave me confidence when mine had dwindled. They helped me feel comfortable on my period when so many other products did not.
So yes, I am a Knix ambassador. Not because they pay me to say nice things, but because I would be recommending them whether I had a partnership or not.
Final Thoughts: Should You Try Knix?
If you are dealing with heavy periods, postpartum recovery, or just want comfortable leakproof underwear that actually works, yes. Try Knix.
Start with one or two pairs. Book a virtual fitting if you are unsure about sizing. Give them a real test during your next cycle.
If they work for you the way they worked for me, you will never go back to regular underwear. And if they do not? That is okay too. Not every product is for every body.
But after six years of wearing Knix, through postpartum recovery, two kids, firefighter wife solo parenting days, and everything in between — I can say with full confidence that these products have earned their place in my life.
